About KotiLife
Welcome to KotiLife, a calm corner of the internet for people who love their homes — even when the paint doesn’t quite match, the air feels a bit too dry, or the renovation “weekend project” is still ongoing three months later.
Here, we believe a truly good home isn’t about perfection — it’s about feeling well, breathing easily, and living simply in the space you already have (even if it occasionally creaks in protest).
KotiLife was created by a housing health professional with years of experience in indoor environments, home renovation, and everyday building care. Over time, those serious-sounding roots turned into a genuine love for sustainable materials, mindful design, and the quiet balance of Nordic living — ideally enjoyed with a cup of something warm and a pair of wool socks.
While I’m not a designer or a full-time builder, I’ve spent plenty of time renovating old houses, testing materials, improving ventilation, and learning (sometimes the hard way) what makes homes feel right. Along the way, gardening joined the mix — teaching that growth takes patience, a bit of dirt, and usually one more cup of coffee.
KotiLife brings together expert insight and real-life lessons, combining practical know-how with the calm simplicity of Nordic living. Here you’ll find:
🌿 Practical advice on creating a healthier indoor environment
⚙️ Guidance on smart, energy-efficient home solutions
🪴 Inspiration for sustainable renovation and natural materials
🕯️ Ideas for calm, cozy living (bonus points if you’re wearing slippers)
Every article, tip, or recommendation comes with the same goal — to help you make your home smarter, healthier, and more comfortable, without needing a new floor plan or a lottery win.
Because when your home supports your wellbeing, life feels just a little bit lighter — even on dark winter days. That’s what KotiLife is all about: real-life advice for homes that feel good to live in — dust bunnies and all.
